For the upcoming “big picture” event, I’ll be doing a series of informational and fun pieces about U-Haul. There’ll be some equipment reviews, all of my towing data, and some U-Haul history that I’m certain you’ve never heard before.
So pull up a chair, pack a box, and rent a storage unit, we’re going on an adventure!
Related: I drove this 26’ JH series U-Haul to Chicago and through downtown (why is a story in itself, a stupid story). Is it bad that I’d totally DD a JH U-Haul?

Why u-haul? I’ve found Penske to be the lowest priced in the Chicago area.

Because I live under a rock, what’s this ‘big picture event” you speak of?

I didn’t rent it lol. My parents rented it out in the ‘burbs and I drove it to the city to pick up office furniture for my mum’s “business”.

iirc the 26' uhaul is large enough to fit my fathers 750Li in the back.
It is mildly disturbing to me that anyone can drive a 26' uhaul towing a trailer that is up to 9,999lbs GVW without a CDL. That’s potentially 37,999lbs of vehicle with no more license that is needed for a geo metro.
